Rizen Rizon Talks About New Single ‘Peter Zuze’ feat. Abel Chungu

Wow it feels good to write the first song synopsis for #PaCheckPoint, it is long over due. Today, I am giving you the ‘low down’ on a song titled Peter Zuze, which features Abel Chungu.  In so many ways this song reminds me of my first video song ‘say what you wanna’ and a little bit of Chili Che. It is an encouragement to believers to keep their faith as they walk through the testing journey of life.

Peter Zuze is a decorated and state honored retired general and jet fighter during the Kaunda times. The story is told of a time when he was sent on a mission in Zimbabwe aboard his Jet. When he was spotted by the air force there, they locked him in formation unable escape and they ordered him to land. As he went in to land he simply touched the runway, accelerated leaving the rest of the jets in a cloud of smoke and took off. Before they knew it he was in Zambia’s airspace, he barely bruised the runway. It was always good to hear this story told over and over again as his legend grew.

When I sit down and think about this story, it leads me to think about how we as children of God are boxed in limited and thought of as less. I was sitting down with someone one day and he said something that hurt me to the core. He suggested that Christians are the laziest people he has come across in his management career. We are full of excuses and never get things done. We are full of church programs and commitments. Since time immemorial we have received a lot of persecution and ill treatment. But all of this was foretold by Jesus in John 16:33 a long time back.

(I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world)

We are abused by how we live our lives, what we wear how we do things and worse of all our humility and heart to love has been taken and advantage of. People want to erase our dreams and aspirations. We are deemed too holy to make it in life. They say you cannot have clean business or money you need to be street smart. Street smart is the new word for criminal. In our schools, colleges and workplaces we are left feeling out of place that is even if we are given a place be ourselves. Everyone thinks we are lifeless, pale and we need saving. Everyone looks at us from the outside and they belittle us without having to know the value of whom we are carrying inside of us. Without acknowledging the kingdom in us, the king of creation living in us.

John Eldridge in his book ‘The Way Of The Wild Heart’, makes a strong statement about this that has kept me thinking. He says, “ It takes a lot of guts to be a Christian and it takes eve more guts to stay or remain one”. The question, there is do you have the guts? Having been a Christian for the last 15 years I find that statement so true. Its very easy to be corrupt at work, flirt or be abusive its a lot harder living straight. It’s easy to lose ones virginity but it’s a lot harder to keep it, or to be a man of the house than ditch your kids and wife. Its a lot harder to do things right and stay the course and to follow what everyone is doing. It feels stupid to work with people corrupt and they have amassed wealth out of their corruption and you have nothing cause you are straight. If feels stupid to see an illegitimate opportunity, with 100% guarantee that you will not get caught pass you by.

The value of life, is determined by what we live for. If we do not live for anything are just getting by in life and waiting to die. The thrill of life is having something to live for and seeing it through. It’s like a single dude living alone toiling, when he toils that hard work is only a means to an end because he does not have anything to satisfy but himself. His life and efforts end right there with him. But one who works for others like a family is working for something greater his life has purpose his toils are justified. Fortunately for us, we have something greater that rations to live for we live for Jesus, and declare him everyday. He is our number one purpose for life, our and we live to satisfy him first. Think about the thrill of wanting a break through and you can see it coming, think about having shut doors and in that very last gasp and that every end of the moment God comes to your rescue. I call that a real thrill.

There  is  a Peter Zuze in your heart, who when everyone takes you low will never let you land but only fly you higher. He is in control and he is the one who flies you. He says “For I am conscious of my thoughts about you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope at the end”. (Jeremiah 29:11).

He didn’t just create you have a design and blue print to you and it is a good one. He says he in 1 Corinthians 1 26-29.

(But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God) 1 Corinthians 1 26-29

let the world dare think we are foolish, low and weak but God has a plan to shame all of it. its not worth it pleasing someone who will make you happy for a day but one who created from zero and will be with you always until eternity.

(Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world) 1 john 4:4

Do not relent. Jesus lives inside you. Keep the faith.
